Find a stable, repetitive process
Look for work that happens often, follows clear rules and has a known input and output. Moving a paid order to your fulfilment system may be a better first candidate than a complex process with frequent exceptions.
Fix the process before connecting the tools
Write down who owns each step, which information is needed and what should happen when something goes wrong. Automation should simplify a good process, rather than move confusion faster.
Design for exceptions
Connections can fail, records can be incomplete and requests can arrive twice. Build validation, retries, duplicate handling and a visible path for human review into the workflow.
Measure the change
Compare manual effort, errors and turnaround before and after the change. Keep the improvement that delivers value, then use what you learn to choose the next workflow.
